Socio-Ecological: Children develop thanks to their interactions with their physical and human environments. Attachment: Positive and stable relationships help children to develop confidence, a sense of security and a desire to explore the world around them.
Objectives:
The development of the whole and well-rounded child, and his complete self-fulfillment in all areas of his or her person
social-emotional
moral
language
cognitive
physical
motor skills
To meet these objectives, our educational program respects key principals such as :
* Each child is unique: Although there are guidelines and milestones for a child’s development, each child possesses a unique personality, as well as their own rate of development. * A child’s development is a whole and integrated process: It affects all areas of his person. * A child is the primary agent of his development: Children’s thoughts are inspired by their physical and human environments. These thoughts play a role in building understanding of themselves, of others and of their environment. * A child learns by playing: Through play-based learning, children explore, understand and master their environment. Through play, educational staff also get to know each child and their emotional needs. * Collaboration between our educational staff and each family is essential to successfully contribute to the child’s well-being.
Personal Hygiene and Nutrition
* Good personal hygiene habits include proper hand washing, teeth brushing, nose blowing, diaper changing and potty training. * Good eating habits are encouraged with a varied menu which follows the Canadian Food Guide.
